Wendell Farquhar Trucking is a leading supplier of construction materials and hauling services for a wide variety of project requirements. For over 42 years, Wendell Farquhar Trucking has been producing aggregates for the construction and mining industry. We operate 16 pits and quarries in Elliot Lake and the surrounding area.
Mines
Wendell Farquhar Trucking has constructed many roadways and earth dams for the various mines in the Elliot Lake area. Since the mine closures in 1990, Wendell Farquhar Trucking has actively worked on maintaining, decommissioning and rehabilitating a number of mines in the Elliot Lake Area.
Road Building
Throughout our years as a locally based contractor, Wendell Farquhar Trucking has worked on many road construction projects with local mining companies (Rio Algom & Denison), the Ministry of Transportation (MTO) for highway projects and the Municipality of Elliot Lake along with many private developments. Our experience starts from clearing a forest for road access to a complete municipal roadway including water, storm and sewer system.

Demolition
In 1991, when the mine closures were announced, Wendell Farquhar Trucking expanded to offer large-scale demolition services. During the 1990s, Wendell Farquhar Trucking carried out demolition and rehabilitation projects for 11 mine sites in the Elliot Lake area. Following decommissioning of the mine sites, our company has been contracted for the demolition of apartment buildings, hotels, large concrete parking structures and various homes.
Environmental Services
Wendell Farquhar Trucking offers a wide range of services within the field of environmental cleanup. Our experience includes fuel storage cleanup, asbestos removal prior to demolition, landfill capping and closures, mine tailing removal and capping, sewage lagoon cleanup and septic system design and installation in and around the Elliot Lake Area.
